Just because the arguments are circuitous and comprehensive, does not make them true. In fact, it is more often the case that liars do more explaining than the truthful. Moreover, these intricate emotional explications all rest upon the same utterly absurd and fundamentally flaky foundation: the alleged divine infallibility of a book compiled by tyrants in the 17th century.
